Rooms
The apartment includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living room with a sofa bed. Tiled floors and a balcony are part of the space. Depending on the unit, you may get sea views or face the building's interior. Some apartments have older furniture and appliances, while others are newly painted and well maintained. Check reviews for the specific unit before booking.
Dining
There is no on-site restaurant at 197 Stella Maris. The apartment has a kitchen with utensils, pots, cutlery, and appliances, so you can cook your own meals. Nearby shops sell groceries, and the braai (barbecue) area lets you grill outside. Some units may lack a toaster or grater, so bring your own if needed.
Leisure
The outdoor swimming pool is open all year. There is also a braai area for grilling. A gate from the building leads directly to the beach, so you can walk to the sand easily. A water park is a short walk away, and monkeys are often seen in the area, which kids may enjoy. The building has no gym or spa, but the beach and pool are the main activities.
Location
197 Stella Maris sits on the beachfront in Amanzimtoti, with direct access to the sea. The King Shaka International Airport is 59 km away. An ice-skating rink is nearby. If you drive, paid on-site private parking is available, including underground and open-air spots.
Services
The building has a lift, 24-hour security, and CCTV in common areas and outside. A safety deposit box is provided in the apartment. Full-day security means someone is always on site. There is no concierge, business center, or kids' club. Cleaning is not included unless you pay extra, and you need to call the agent for issues. Wi-Fi is available, but some guests have reported poor speeds.
“This beachfront accommodation truly excels with its stunning ocean views and direct beach access, making it a standout choice for seaside stays. The apartments are consistently noted for their cleanliness and the inclusion of essential amenities, even Wi-Fi proving a reliable feature for families. It strikes a fine balance between a convenient location near shops and the sheer pleasure of waking up to the sound of the waves.”
