Pet-Friendly Chalets
Blackbrook Farm Underberg offers pet-friendly chalets with fully equipped kitchens, including a fridge, kettle, and gas stoves. Each unit includes a private bathroom with a shower, bed linen, bath towels, and a TV with satellite channels.
Outdoor Barbecue Area
Guests can use the barbecue facilities in the garden, which has outdoor furniture and a terrace. The property also provides designated smoking areas and board games for guests.
Cycling, Fishing, Hiking
The surrounding area is suitable for cycling, fishing, and hiking. Guests have reported seeing Cape Vultures and Yellow-billed kites during the day, and hearing owls and black-backed jackals at night.
Close to Vulture Hide
Blackbrook Farm Underberg is a 2-minute drive from the entrance to the Mzimkulu Vulture Hide. The property is also close to Underberg town, with easy access to the area's gravel roads.
Services
The property offers free private parking and provides a gas heater in the units. Note that the gravel road to the cottage is about 300 meters long and may need attention, and the wooden stairs to the loft can be slippery for elderly guests.
“The peaceful farm setting here delivers truly beautiful views, complemented by cottages that feel both comfortable and remarkably well-appointed, especially with a fully equipped kitchen and those thoughtfully provided knee blankets. Its location is surprisingly convenient, just a stone's throw from the Mzimkulu Vulture Hide, and I found the accommodation great value for the area. The quietude at night, punctuated by the sounds of local wildlife under a stunning sky, makes for a deeply immersive stay.”
