Forest Lodge offers Classic Double, Classic Twin, and Two-Bedroom Apartment rooms. Each includes a TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, and private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Rooms open to a patio with garden views. Some have blackout curtains and a minibar. Keep windows and balcony doors closed-monkeys and warthogs roam the grounds. The bathroom has no ventilation besides the window, so some guests noticed a damp smell.

A buffet breakfast is included daily, with a wide spread including eggs, filter coffee, and other options. Special diet menus and kids' meals are available on request. There is no onsite restaurant or bar, but a 10-minute walk takes you to St Lucia's main street with many restaurants and cafes.

The outdoor swimming pool is open all year with sun loungers and a shallow end. The garden has a braai area, outdoor fireplace, and picnic tables. The lodge offers game drives to Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Park. Onsite activities include cycling, horse riding, and snorkelling. Day trips to Cape Vidal can be arranged at the tour desk. Forest Lodge is a 10-minute walk from St Lucia's main street with restaurants, shops, and services. It is near iSimangaliso Wetland Park and a short drive to Cape Vidal. Free parking is available, including accessible spots. Street parking is also possible. The lodge is a safe base for exploring the area.

The lodge has 24-hour security, key access, safety deposit boxes, and security alarms. Daily housekeeping, laundry, and ironing services are provided.
