Log Cabins with Views
The non-smoking rooms are Canadian-style log cabins with a private bathroom, toilet, and shower. Some rooms offer mountain views, and all include a fireplace. Guests share a terrace and have access to a small pool with panoramic mountain views.
Full Board Dining
The lodge serves full board meals: breakfast (before 9 am), lunch (at 1 pm), and dinner (at 7:30 pm). Special diet menus are available on request. The lounge bar overlooks the Royal Natal National Park. Packed lunches are provided for hiking days.
Outdoor Activities
Guests can hike on marked trails (various difficulty levels), go cycling, fish in trout and bass dams, or ride horses. The outdoor swimming pool is open all year with a view of the mountains. Board games and puzzles are available in the lounge.
Remote Mountain Location
Greenfire Drakensberg Lodge is in Kruisfontein, high in the Northern Drakensberg. It is solar powered. Access requires a 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle; a transfer from the secure parking lot up the mountain can be prearranged. The lodge is surrounded by mountains and nature reserves.
