The outdoor bath area features privacy screens and a fragrant garden.

Breakfast is made by the host and served daily, with options including American, buffet, vegetarian, and vegan. Local specialties, juice, and fruits are also provided. For other meals, guests can use the BBQ facilities or purchase snacks, cooldrinks, charcoal, firelighters, and wood from the on-site 'Spaza shop'-an honesty-box system in the kitchen cabinet.

Guests can enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and cycling in the surrounding area. The property includes a garden, sun terrace, picnic area, and an open-air bath. For entertainment, there are board games, puzzles, darts, and movie nights. The patio features a swing bed and hammock, and the fireplace provides warmth on cool evenings.

Masinga is located in Hillcrest, South Africa, within a residential area. Pietermaritzburg Airport is 51 km away. The surrounding area offers views of the Yellowwoods and provides a peaceful setting. Guests should note that the property is in a backyard, which may not suit everyone's expectations.

The hotel offers concierge service, private check-in and check-out, and 24-hour security. Free on-site private parking is available, including accessible parking. The property is adults-only and non-smoking, with designated smoking areas. The host, Lynn, provides guides and videos for easy check-in and is known for her hospitality. There is no daily cleaning service, but the space is designed to be self-sufficient.
