Rooms are clean but can feel small; some have limited storage and no wardrobes.

Meals are served on the veranda with mountain views. Breakfast and dinner are available at a surcharge. The restaurant serves butter chicken curry, lamb sausage, and oxtail. Breakfast can take over an hour, so orders are placed via WhatsApp to have food ready on arrival. The menu is limited, but pizza is a good option. Special diet menus and kids' meals are available.
Pool, Spa, and Activities
The property has a freshwater swimming reservoir and two outdoor pools with mountain views. The spa offers back massage, couples massage, foot massage, full body massage, and more, with a spa lounge and relaxation area. On-site activities include bike tours, darts, mini golf, table tennis, and walking tours. Guided day and overnight hiking excursions can be arranged.
Location and Surroundings
The lodge sits on 20 hectares of grassland in the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains. Monks Cowl entrance to the Maloti Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site is 8 km away. The Drakensberg Boys Choir School is a 5-minute drive. Nearby attractions include Sandra se Winkel and the Chocolate Memories factory. The entrance is a gravel road; low cars should be careful.
Services and Amenities
Free WiFi works well in the lobby but is weak in rooms. Parking is free but far from some rooms; you may need to carry luggage. Services include daily housekeeping, laundry, ironing, express check-in/check-out, and luggage storage. Kids have outdoor play equipment and board games.
