Rooms
Nauntons Guest House offers family rooms with private bathrooms, air-conditioning, and garden views. Each room includes a refrigerator, work desk, flat-screen TV with Netflix, and free toiletries. Premium bedding and a comfortable bed are standard. Some rooms, like the King Suite with Bath, provide extra space. Cleanliness is well-maintained.
Breakfast and Dinner Options
Breakfast is served daily at The Nauntons, with guests praising the delicious food and affordable price of R100. Dinner is available via room service or in the dining room, offering basic but well-prepared meals. An honesty bar and a coffee station are also available. Guests recommend eating in, as Ladysmith town lacks sit-down dining options after early closing hours.
Leisure
The property features a year-round outdoor swimming pool, barbecue facilities, and a children's playground. The spacious garden offers farm views and a relaxing environment. Free WiFi is available throughout. The lounge area includes an honesty bar for drinks and snacks.
Near Game Reserves
Nauntons is located 200 km from Pietermaritzburg Airport, with quick access to the N11 highway. Nearby attractions include Nambiti Game Reserve, Spioenkop Nature Reserve (44 km), and Colenso Museum (31 km). The guest house is set on a farm, offering a peaceful setting with goats, cows, and frogs. Free private parking and a 24/7 security guard are provided.
Services
The guest house features a 400-seater conference room for functions and meetings. Services include babysitting, laundry, dry cleaning, ironing, and packed lunches. Free WiFi and parking are included. The property is pet-friendly. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the honesty bar adds convenience.
“The spacious rooms and peaceful, country setting create a welcoming environment, even for families with children drawn to the farm animals. Friendly and attentive staff contribute to a consistently pleasant atmosphere, particularly with the convenient on-site dining options that are surprisingly well-executed.”
