Thanda Safari offers two accommodation types: bush suites (private villas) with a private pool and observation deck, and safari-style tents in a tented camp. Tents are spacious, bug-free, include outdoor showers, and have electric blankets available on request. All rooms feature air conditioning, soundproofing, and non-smoking policies. Some villas overlook the bush and waterhole.

Meals are served at several venues, including a main restaurant, bar, and a private boma for special dinners. The chef describes daily menus at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegetarian) are accommodated. The all-inclusive package covers wines, beers, and soft drinks (no cider). Breakfast can be served in the room, and packed lunches are available for game drives.

Two daily game drives in open vehicles are led by a ranger and tracker, focusing on the Big 5 and over 400 bird species. The spa & wellness centre offers massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, body wraps, and a sauna. Other activities: guided walking tours, hiking, themed dinner nights, live music performances, kids' club, and board games. An outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas is available.

Thanda Safari sits on a 14000-hectare private game reserve in northern Zululand, a low-risk malaria area. The reserve is home to elephants, lions, cheetahs, rhinos, and buffalo. Airport shuttle service is offered from Richards Bay and other hubs. Valet parking and free on-site parking are available.

The lodge has a 24-hour front desk, currency exchange, express check-in/out, luggage storage, tour desk, and safety deposit boxes.
