Four-Bedroom House
The Four-Bedroom House at Dog-Friendly Farm Cottage in the Berg offers four separate bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Five-star beds and bedding ensure a good night's sleep. Every bedroom includes a fireplace, and the large open-plan kitchen is equipped with a full-size fridge-freezer, oven, stovetop, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. The living and dining areas are spacious enough for eight people. A private entrance adds extra convenience.
Dining
There is no restaurant on the property. The kitchen is fully equipped for guests to prepare their own meals. For supplies, a local shop nearby carries most essentials, including basic medications. The nearest larger town, Underberg, is 35 minutes away by car and offers additional grocery stores and dining options.
Leisure
Guests can relax in the private garden or on the covered terrace, which has outdoor furniture and a barbecue for alfresco meals. Mountain views are visible from the property. The surrounding farmland is home to donkeys, sheep, cows, and other animals. The two resident farm dogs are friendly and enjoy attention. Guests have noted live sounds of birds, frogs, and other wildlife at night. For activities, horse riding is a few kilometres away at the Pig and Pony.

The cottage is located in Underberg, South Africa, 200 km from Pietermaritzburg Airport. The drive from the airport takes about 2.5 hours. Note that the final stretch to the property includes about 30 km of gravel road. Cell phone signal is spotty in the area, which can be a benefit for disconnecting. The nearest main town, Underberg, is 35 minutes away, and a local shop is a short drive for basic needs.
